CSB EXAMINATION :: 2013

There are approximately 7000 teachers on the rolls of the 133 Army Public Schools(APS) under AWES. Out of that, approximately 1000 get turned over every year. The vacancies will be projected by the Schools while advertising for holding interviews for selection of teachers at the beginning of the academic year.
To qualify for interview, the candidates have to pass a Screening Examination which is held by HQ AWES centrally. The next exam will be held on 08 Dec 2013.
Selection of Teachers: Categories of Teachers The exam will be held for the posts of PGT/TGT/PRT for all subjects
Vacancies This will vary from School to School. A clear picture of vacancies existing in Schools will emerge only at the beginning of an academic year. Based on the vacancies available, schools advertise for interview. Appointments will be made as per CBSE/AWES Rules.
Qualifications:
(a) Educational/Professional Qualifications:

(b) Age - As on 01 April 201:

1. Fresh Candidates - Below 40 years, except for Delhi schools where TGT/PRT should be lessthan 29 yrs and PGT lessthan 35 years
2. Experienced Candidates - Below 57 years ( Should have minimum 5 years teaching experience in the last 10 years)
Selection Procedure:
(a) Stage 1. Screening Exam, conducted on the Second Sunday of every year, for vacancies that will arise during the ensuing academic year. This is conducted by HQ AWES centrally. In addition to fresh candidates, the following may also appear for the screening test


1. Holders of Score Cards who want to improve their scores.
2. ) Those desirous of upgrading themselves. For E.g. a candidate holding score Card of TGT may now want to obtain a card for PGT, having acquired additional qualification.
(b) Stage II. Interview, Evaluation of Teaching skills and computer proficiency will be held under the aegis of HQ Commands for Schools under their jurisdiction. For Language teachers, written test comprising Essay/ Comprehension will be held along with evaluation of teaching skills. The Screening Exam for 2013 will be conducted as under
